Reporting to: Director/Mentor

Job PurposeFinancial planners work with individuals, families and businesses to help clients understand their financial circumstances and how to reach their short-term and long-term financial objectives. The clients provide relevant financial information during an initial interview, answering questions about their total annual income, debt obligations, monthly expenses not related to debt, current investment holdings, savings account balances, tax liabilities and insurance plans. Financial planners analyze this information and present realistic, meaningful recommendations based on their clients’ financial situations and goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire, develop and maintain a portfolio of clients while adopting a needs-based sales process to identify a client’s financial needs and priorities.
  • Analyse client’s financial status by interviewing them to determine client’s assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status and financial objectives and develops financial plan based on analysis of data, and discuss financial options with client.
  • Develop and implement financial plans for individuals, utilizing knowledge of investment strategies, insurance and retirement planning.
  • Prepare and submit documents to implement plan selected by client.
  • Maintain contact with client to revise plan based on modified needs of clients or changes in investment market.
  • Stay current with market trends and evolving regulatory landscape by attending training courses internally/externally and fulfil the prescribed CPD hours.
  • Maintain high commitment to compliance with internal company policies and MAS requirements.

Function and Reporting toDepartment: Sales Team
Reporting to: Director/Mentor
Job PurposeAs a member of the AAM Academy, you will be expected to take and pass 6 regulatory exams in the first year with the assistance of office based training sessions and home study. You will also be mentored by one of AAM’s Directors or Senior Financial Planners. During the first year, you will attend weekly training sessions on all aspects of financial planning. This will include product, sales, sales administration, financial markets and systems training. A confident manner both face to face and via telephone is essential as you will be contacting potential and current clients to arrange meetings. You will also be assisting to source and arrange networking events and seminars, as well as building your own business network both face-to-face and online.
Key Responsibilities
  • This is a sales focused role so the successful candidate must be target driven, motivated and a self starter.
  • Contacting clients and setting up meetings;
  • Conducting in-depth reviews of clients’ financial circumstances, current provision and future aims;
  • Sourcing and arranging events and seminars
  • Network through events and establish relationships with perspective clients

Once graduated to Financial Advisor:

  • Assisting clients to make informed decisions;

About the roleAs a Business Development Executive, you’ll work alongside an experienced financial planner responsible for warm lead follow up and leads generation. You’ll also help us deliver our business development sales targets by communicating with people via email, LinkedIn, the phone and, occasionally, face-to-face, with a view to scheduling a meeting with one of our team. And, when it comes to effective workflow/database management and keeping accurate records, again, we’ll count on you to deliver. Generating leads, cold calling customers, keeping abreast of trends in the market and seeking ways of improving how we do things – you’ll get to do all of this, and more.

Reporting to: Head of Operations / COO

Job PurposeThe role of the Business and Adviser Support Team Manager will work cross functionally to implement and manage a centralised administration support function for the processing of client transactions for the AAM Financial Advisory Team.  The role will have the responsibility for reporting against agreed service levels, suggesting amendments to processes and SLA’s.
Key Responsibilities and Scope of role
  • Work closely with EXCO and Financial Planners to ensure a sufficient administrative service is provided to all participating Financial Advisers.
  • Provide reporting to EXCO to support decision making
  • Monitoring levels of service achieved, ensuring records are kept and analyzed, high quality of service is provided that is accurate and all service levels are achieved compared with targets set.
  • Ensure the submission of “clean” new business to product providers
  • Pipeline monitoring (NB, Servicing and Claims)
  • Producing process procedures to support team development
  • Review and Sign off of client transactions (non-Compliance)
  • Review and Sign Off of bespoke wording for client advice
  • Management Information reporting
  • Supporting FARs with non-standard cases/transactions (fly to buy, s33, legacy products)
  • Managing a team of administrators
  • Liaising with product providers for clean/dirty stats

Job PurposeThis role is to create/Prepare Recommendation Reports for the AAM Financial Advisers to then present to their prospects or existing clients within the timelines agreed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring Reports are prepared and completed within the 3-working day standard turnaround time.
  • Updating the log with information regarding each Report.
  • Making any necessary amendments to Reports (as per FAR/PA request)
  • Sometimes preparing last minute Reports.
  • Liaising with FAR’s & PA’s to make any required adjustments.
  • Help ensure the latest Fact Sheets are saved to the shared folder.
  • To assist with Reception when the need arises.

    • prepare Estate Planning analysis reports and recommendations in line with internal guidelines and standards
    • support HNWI sales activity in line with internal guidelines and standards
